Dr. Stefania Castelletto

Stefania Castelletto is a Professor of Renewable Energy at RMIT University since 2013 and she covered the role of Deputy Associate Dean and Associate Dean for Mechanical Engineering from 2021-2024. She has over 24 years of research experience acquired earlier in her career as a group leader in the Italian National Research Institute for Metrology (1998-2006), the USA National Institute of Standards and Technology (2001-2003) and later in the Australian Universities, including The University of Melbourne (2006-2010), Macquarie University (2011-2013) and RMIT University. At RMIT she is currently the Deputy Director of the newly established Leading Research Centre for Applied Quantum Technologies. Her research focus is on experimental materials for energy: including renewable energy systems and sources; Water Purification; Developing materials for efficient water treatment and Quantum Technology; and Exploring nanomaterials and wide-bandgap semiconductors potential in quantum technology applications.
